Heading down South.

So we have spent a wonderful 5 days here in Chang Mai enjoying a lot of the city culture in Chang Mai and also spending a lot of time out of the city up in the rain forest and jungles of remote Thailand. It was just amazing to see all the locals so friendly and inviting. We truly had no bad experiences here and everything just seemed like it kept getting better and better. I won’t forget all the faces that we had the opportunity to meet, including Lek at the elephant park, Ping Pong dashing down the river, and Noon and Long 100’s of feet up in the Thailand rain forest. Just to be in a community that has so much passion and culture, and yet they want to share it with everyone they meet. So we are headed out of Chang Mai, on a train express to Bangkok. Our train just left the gate at 4:35pm and we will spend the next 12 hours sitting here watching the countryside go by and taking in some scenery. I don’t know what it is about traveling by train, that is just a little more peaceful and relaxing than traveling by any other mode of transportation. We bought our tickets for a little less than $30 US dollars (dinner and breakfast included). You really just can't beat that. Having the opportunity to travel through most of Thailand and get to watch passing villages in the most isolated of places. Ok and maybe we had some beers along the way!
